Omar Atzili's remarkable tenure at Maccabi Haifa came to an end on Friday, when Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates announced that it had reached an agreement with the player on his inclusion. The star is set to be bought for around two million euros, tripling his salary in the coming seasons - a reward for the huge numbers he has shown in the Premier League over the past two years. Atzili arrived at Maccabi Haifa in January 2021, returned mid-season from Cypriot club APOEL Nicosia, and immediately became a key player and established himself as the best Israeli player in the league. He finished the season as the league's top scorer with 21 goals in addition to 12 assists. He was named Player of the Year and led the Greens to a third consecutive championship.
