Chris Paul was released from Phoenix this week, according to reports in the United States, but American media claim that the Suns have a plan of action. According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, "Phoenix wouldn't do this if it didn't feel good enough about someone else. Keep an eye on James Harden. I don't want to report anything, but it's been up in the air for the last month. Everyone thinks he'll play in Philadelphia or Houston, but I don't know — there's discussions."
Harden will soon have to decide whether to sign a new contract with Philadelphia or become a free agent. Throughout the season, rumors surfaced about a possible comeback for Houston, which could offer him a max contract, but it is quite possible that he would give up a replica contract to rejoin Kevin Durant, with whom he collaborated in Brooklyn and Oklahoma City.

"I don't think he knows yet what he's going to do," American journalist Shams Charania said Tuesday, referring to Harden. "He's torn between staying in Philly and returning to Houston, where he homes." The former MVP averaged 21 points and 10.7 assists per game in the regular season this season before disappearing again in the playoffs.
