The current season is at its peak moment with Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv battling for the championship title in the playoff finals, but at the same time preparations are beginning in the background for next season.
In the coming weeks, a decision will be made on where to hold the Winner's Cup, the traditional season-opening event, which will take place this year from September 18 to October 9. Israel Hayom has learned that among the leading candidates to host the decisive stages of the tournament now are the Shlomo Group Arena, Hapoel Tel Aviv's home arena, and the Enerbox Hall in Hadera. Another candidate examined is the Toto Hall in Holon.
Both venues were also the last to host the tournament. Last season the tournament was played in Hadera, while in the previous two years it was played at the factory in a hall in Tel Aviv.
