Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar and IFA Chairman Shino Zuaretz met today (Friday) with Argentine Football Association President Claudio Tapia, and concluded: The Argentine national team will be hosted in Israel in 2024. At the meeting, it was agreed to create an official agreement between the associations for large-scale cooperation between Argentina and Israel in the world of football, including technological components, university collaborations and more, similar to existing agreements with other countries.
Tapia accepted the offer of Israel Football Association chairman Shino Zuaretz, who was also present at the meeting, and said that he would work to bring Argentina's young team to Israel as early as the upcoming winter tournament organized by the local association every year.
It was also agreed that in 2024, Argentina, the world champions who won the 2022 World Cup six months ago, will come to Israel for a friendly match against Israel, and it is also possible that a similar match will take place between the young teams that are currently competing in the World Cup.
