In a podcast about parenthood, Miriam and Felix Neureuther report on the confinement in their own bed and involuntary kicks to the head.
Munich/Going at the Wilder Kaiser - The winter sports couple Miriam and Felix Neureuther talk about life as parents and the changes that come with it in the podcast Zuckerbrot und Kneipe - der Papa Podcast. During a cozy chat at the luxury hotel at the Wilder Kaiser in Austria, the couple exchanges many a funny anecdote with the three podcast hosts. This is also the reason why Felix has to spend many a night on the corner bench and not in the matrimonial bed.

Felix Neureuther is driven away by wandering children
As the name suggests, the podcast of hosts Johannes Strate (singer), Freddy Radeke (satirist) and Sebastian Ströbel (actor) is all about being a dad. Either the three, who together have seven children, report on their experiences as fathers, alone or with guests. Now, for the first time, they had invited Miriam Neureuther, a woman who, together with her husband Felix, told one or two funny stories.
Strate, frontman of the band Revolverheld, posted an excerpt on his Instagram channel. Jokingly, the singer confronts the former ski racer with a statement from the day before: "Felix, you said: 'I sleep on the corner bench'." There is not enough space in the matrimonial bed, says Felix – and Miriam interjects that there is generally space, "only the problem is that our children don't want to sleep in cots, but always go to bed with us."
Miri kicks Felix "180 times in the night on the head"
Now it is the case that together with three children in a standard matrimonial bed it gets a bit tight and the usual space conditions shift somewhat. This was also the case in the Neureuther household, where Felix literally lay at his wife's feet for a short time. "I woke up at night and thought, what's the bottom of my feet and have a little bit with my feet ...", says Miriam, who possibly wanted to end her sentence with "feel" or "touch". Husband Felix, on the other hand, remembered a different perception: "What does that mean a little bit, you stepped on my head 180 times a night."
Unsurprisingly, the story provides plenty of amusement in the round and so actor Sebastian Ströbel wanted to know from Miriam whether she had stepped up twice. No, not twice, says Felix, but also "a third time, just to be sure." Although presented with a laugh, it is quite possible that this was the moment when Felix preferred the corner bench to the bed. This is not the first time that the former ski racer has had to give way to his children, because there is no room for him even during the planned camping holiday. (sch)
