Omar Atzili is on track to make history and become the first Jewish player to play in the UAE after Al Ain announced on Friday that it had reached an agreement with Maccabi Haifa over the transfer of the Israeli star.
However, it turns out that there are those who do not like the historic transition, and this is a large part of the Muslim team's fans. The group's official announcement of its conclusion on social networks was flooded with many responses with Palestinian Authority flags and slogans: "Long live Palestine."
"You're not ashamed, do whatever you want," enraged one fan, while another wished Achili to be injured: "Good luck with the anterior, posterior and side cruciate ligament."
"I used to love and respect this team, but now I declare my hatred for this club. We are an Arab people, why are we doing this to each other?" one fan wrote sadly.

Atzili will join the most decorated club in the UAE with 14 championships, 7 cups, 5 Super Cups and a historic Asian Championship in 2002. The team's last title win was in the 2021-22 season, and this season Al Ain finished second behind Bab-El Hali, who was also reportedly interested in the Israeli star.
