Recap: Barcelona vs Malaga 88:79 (Sport1)
After failing to land Lionel Messi back at Camp Nou, Barcelona understand that in order to properly strengthen for next season they need a liquidation sale. According to a report in Catalan Sport, at a management meeting attended by Xavi, it was decided that Franck Casier, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati must be sold. The Spanish champions have made it a priority to close deals for two of them by the end of June, and Xavi will make it clear to the three that they are not part of the plans for next season.
The three players did not express much desire to comply and leave, but their representatives continue to look for solutions. Fati holds an offer from Wolves and his agent Jorge Mendes is looking for another destination, although they have no intention of parting.
Barcelona are hoping to sell Kessie to a Premier League club for more than €30 million, but unless such an offer arrives, they will try to strike a deal with Inter Milan who are interested in his services. If the Ivory Coast midfielder does sign for the Nerazzurri, it will be a return to Milan just a year after leaving arch-rivals Milan.

Beyond that, the Catalans will also try to get rid of players who have spent this season on loan. Clement Langella and Samuel Umtiti are set to part ways with the club, who are also expected to sell Abdou Azlazuli, who has shown sparks for Osasuna. As part of the desire to bring in money to strengthen the players, the club may sell Raphinha to the highest bidder, which could reach 90 million euros. The players whose sale is not on the agenda are Pedri, Ronald Araújo, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Frenkie de Jong.
Barcelona have a long list of targets ahead of next season, led by Ilkay Gundogan, who may make his last appearance for Manchester City in the Champions League final this evening. His team-mate Bernardo Silva is also wanted in Catalonia, as are Joao Cancelo, Thomas Monnier, Ruben Neves and Josué Kimmich, who could put pressure on Bayern Munich to force a move to the Spanish league.
