Maccabi Haifa is in formal talks with Lior Refalov in an attempt to bring him back. The veteran midfielder is currently a free agent after completing his contract at Anderlecht and wants to return to Israel after 12 long and successful years in the Belgian league, and his youth team is the leading candidate to take him in.
Despite the line that Gal Alberman has taken in recent years, the professional manager decided that there was a need for an Israeli player with extensive experience in the squad, and in light of the fact that Rafalov is considered an icon at the club, it was decided to try to bring him in and increase efforts to complete the move.
