Cross-country skiing: Krüger proposes to his girlfriend
Simen Hegstad Krüger will probably start his preparations for the new season with an extra dose of motivation. The Norwegian cross-country skiing star experienced a private highlight in January of this year, as he proposed to his long-time partner Kristine Ringsjø Tufte, as he has only now revealed.
"We've been together for a while now, so I think it was time to go one step further," Simen Hegstad Krüger revealed the love secret in an interview with the Norwegian daily Verdens Gang. The marriage proposal, with which he surprised his girlfriend Kristine Ringsjø Tufte, came about in a special way.

"We wanted to go see a sunset. On the way there we stopped for a drink. I waited until no one was around so that we could be in peace. She thought I was behaving very strangely. I got down on my knees and asked her. She was very happy and said yes," Krüger toldVerden's gang.
Cross-country skiing: Kruger with a successful season
The wedding is planned for 2024. However, Simen Hegstad Krüger did not give details for the wedding ceremony. Neither the exact date nor the location of the wedding is known so far. However, it can be assumed that it will not take place until after the coming winter sports season.
Simen Hegstad Krüger, who is overshadowed by superstar Johannes Høsflot Klæbo in the Norwegian cross-country skiing team, came up trumps last season. At the 2023 World Championships in Planica, he became world champion in the disciplines of skiathlon, 15 km freestyle and in the 4 × 10 km relay. In addition to the world championship titles, the two Olympic victories in Pyeongchang in 2018 are among the greatest successes of his career. Krüger won the gold medal in the skiathlon and 4 × 10 km relay. (smr
