Official: Goalkeeper Itamar Nitzan, 36, joined Maccabi Haifa today (Friday) after signing this morning for one season with the team. Nitzan underwent the medical tests yesterday and this morning arrived in Kfar Galim for his first training session in his new uniform.
He began his career at Maccabi Herzliya and played for Hapoel Tel Aviv, Kiryat Shmona, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Beitar Jerusalem and last season for Maccabi Netanya. Nitzan also has one appearance for the Israeli national team.
The club's professional manager, Gal Alberman: "We are pleased to announce that Itamar Nitzan has joined the ranks of the group. Itamar is a goalkeeper with extensive experience in the Israeli league and we are sure that his personality and professional abilities will add a lot to the team in achieving its goals in the coming season. We wish Itamar a quick acclimatization and good luck."

Alongside signing Nitzan, the team's defender Pierre Cornu has extended his contract at Maccabi Haifa until 2025 after successfully integrating into the previous season.
