FC Bayern: Nick Salihamidzic complains about how he treats himself in his own podcast

Off the field, the right-back is now trying his hand at podcast hosting, with the first episode of "Off the Pitch" coming out on Monday evening (18 September). There he talks about his experiences in the professional field together with Adhurim Kadrijaj, who plays for TSV Moosach at Grafing in the Landesliga Bayern. Salihamidzic has already posted the first excerpts on X (formerly Twitter) and gives an insight into his perception of the public portrayal of his person.

"If you were good, it was like, 'Look how awesome, he's like his dad.' And if you were bad, it was like, 'He's just playing because of his dad.' And that was just so unfair, because I could never be me. Even now, I can never be me because I'll always be behind it," said the defender.

FC Bayern: Nick Salihamidzic reports on talks with agent

Furthermore, he also reports on conversations with his advisor. "Then you sit down and say, 'What are the options? Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Qatar, Dubai.' Actually, everything you don't want to do because you want to make a breakthrough in Europe. That's just the big dream, to stay here," Salihamidzic said. It is not clear whether the conversation took place around the recently ended transfer period.

In addition, the Munich homegrown is also upset about unprofessional behavior within the industry, presumably involving negotiations with representatives of a club: "I've never experienced such an unprofessional situation in football, where I thought to myself: 'How disrespectful that you invite us, we sit down to have my father fly in from Ibiza and he paid for the flight himself and then you put us there and you cancel.' You can't do that."
