Following the brutal entrance, Kayel broke his leg and there is concern that he will end his career. Dayan Noam Lyubin criticized Hapoel Petah Tikva in his decision, on the argument that another injury in Kayel's past allegedly contributed to the current injury.
Lyubin said it was a misleading of the court and "it would be desirable if this statement had not been made." Lyubin also criticized Hapoel Petah Tikva's claim that he was a foreign player and if it were a local, the allegation would not be the same, and neither would the severity of the punishment.
