The Oktoberfest is underway: The Oktoberfest is currently the big destination for many party guests. One of them is ski idol Maria Höfl-Riesch.

Munich – The world's largest folk festival has begun – since Saturday, September 16, it has been open in Munich. And, of course, guests from near and far have been flocking to the Theresienwiese in masses ever since. The celebrities are also represented in large numbers: Maria Höfl-Riesch, for example, has already diligently posted pictures of the 188th Oktoberfest.

Maria Höfl-Riesch on the opening day of the Oktoberfest: "Let's go to the tapping"

The ski icon posted a picture of herself and her husband Marcus Höfl on the opening day. It shows lots of sunshine and the good-humoured couple in stylish traditional costumes – he with light-coloured lederhosen and jackets, she with a blue and black dirndl.

"Let's go to the tapping!" wrote the 38-year-old under the photo. There was a lot of praise for the outfits in the comments. The first Saturday of the Oktoberfest was an absolute hit with around 25 degrees Celsius and continuous sunshine.

On Monday, September 18, Höfl-Riesch posted more Oktoberfest pictures on her Instagram story. This time, however, with a different dirndl – and different accompaniment. In one picture she can be seen together with model and presenter Annika Gassner, in a second she poses next to celebrity reporter Hili Ingenhoven.

The photos were taken on Sunday, when Evelyn and Philip Greffenius had invited people to the "Almauftrieb" for the 25th time. Traditionally, many celebrities are at the start in the Käfer-Wiesn-Schänke - as was the case in 2023, when, for example, Markus Söder's daughter Selina and ex-Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic were there. And also Maria Höfl-Riesch.

Maria Höfl-Riesch and the Oktoberfest: Last year it was still "tappy"

The Oktoberfest is of course a must for the former top skier as a native of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. That's why Höfl-Riesch had already posted a picture in September 2022. At that time, however, the framework conditions were completely different: "O'zapft is'! And it's spicy! Oktoberfest tapping at 8 degrees and rain. I still ventured into the rides," Höfl-Riesch wrote at the time to a photo that showed a rainy fairground and dark clouds in the background.

Höfl-Riesch has rarely experienced temperatures like these recently – there was no trace of rain clouds during her girls' trip to Ibiza. (akl)
