Apart from being one of the best left-back defenders in Europe, Andy Robertson is known as a player who loves to have fun on and off the pitch. The week before Liverpool travelled to Austria for their Europa League match against Lusk Linz, he crossed the line when he was caught jokingly slapping team-mate Ben Doak in training and immediately regretted his actions.

The Scottish defender, who scored in his team's 1-3 win over Wolves last weekend, is due to be rested for the opening game of the season in Europe with the 17-year-old Doak, on the other hand, expected to get minutes as Jurgen Klopp may make big changes to give his players a rest before their Premier League home game against West Ham on Sunday.

Doak has been considered one of the most talented players in Liverpool's youth squad in recent years and has already made a good impression with his team-mates, with Virgil van Dijk talking enthusiastically about him. "I remember when he came up against Villa away last year and made some good moves. He's very good at one-on-one. I call him a Tasmanian demon with the way he dribbles, he's just so fast. If his decision-making improves – and he has all the time in this world – then he could very well be a great player in the future."
