The 21-year-old Yasour, who competes in the under-58kg weight category and is ranked second in the world, automatically advanced directly to the eighth final because of his ranking, where he had no trouble beating an opponent from Peru. Then he advanced to the quarterfinals, leading all the way to a 10-27 victory over Mongolian Tirambiak Kolyet.
Yas'our lost both hands, a week before the Bar Mitzvah celebration, when he noticed the ball in Aloni Habashan's central electrical room and jumped in to get it out. When he climbed up and tried to leave the room, he tripped and grabbed an electric cable, he was severely injured.
