Tragedy in England.Sheffield United women's player Maddie Cusack has died unexpectedly at the age of just 27, the team announced on Thursday.
Cusack only renewed her contract at Sheffield three months ago and was recently appointed one of the team's captains. She is also considered a legend of the club, where she has played since 2019 and became the first player to reach 100 appearances.
At the moment, it is reported in England that the cause of Cusack's sudden death is unknown. The club said: "Sheffield United Football Club is pained to report the sad news of Maddie Cusack's passing. The club and Maddie's family will be in private for a while and will not comment at this sad time."
