Julian Nagelsmann once revealed which superstars would be his dream players for FC Bayern. FCB are now said to be specifically interested in one of them.
Munich – Kylian Mbappe is not wrong for any team, Julian Nagelsmann replied in April last year on Amazon Prime when asked about one of his desired players for FC Bayern. At that time, the probable new national coach was still in the service of the record champions. "I also think Frenkie de Jong is a very good player," Nagelsmann added. And it is precisely in this midfield star of FC Barcelona that there should be concrete interest.

FC Bayern are the main interested parties for Frenkie de Jong?
Nagelsmann added at the time that Mbappe, like de Jong, would go beyond the financial framework. At the latest after the 100 million transfer of Harry Kane, however, it is clear that Bayern are quite willing to make record German investments.
According to a report by the Spanish portal todofichajes.com, FC Bayern is the main interested party for de Jong for the coming summer. There have already been several talks with the management of the 26-year-old. In addition, it is said that Germany's football record champions are willing to pay almost 80 million euros in transfer fees. However, the information should be taken with a grain of salt.

FC Bayern without a chance: Frenkie de Jong does not want to leave Barça
It should be remembered that de Jong was already on the verge of leaving Barça. In the midst of the Corona pandemic, the Dutchman had refrained from lowering his salary. In the end, however, de Jong stayed with the Blaugrana and has become one of the top performers since Xavi Hernandez took over.
And because de Jong's performances are being carried out to the complete satisfaction of Barça officials, the exchange is currently underway about an early extension of the contract, which is still dated until 2026. The most important classification: De Jong still has no plans to leave Barça. Meanwhile, the rumours of interest from FC Bayern are certainly not new.

Barça to extend contract with Frenkie de Jong
"My contract extension? My agent takes care of it, but I'm happy here," de Jong said after the 5-0 Champions League opening win over Royal Antwerp, making it unmistakably clear that he sees his future with the Spanish champions. By the way, the coaching team classifies it the same way.
"Of course I would extend Frenkie de Jong's contract with my eyes closed," said Xavi after the successful start to the premier class. "He's a key player for us. He's at the best moment of his career right now." It remains to be seen to what extent the contract extension can be realized in the near future due to Barça's financial difficulties. But the goal is definitely. (aoe)
