Recently, Kyle Haynes, one of the Euroleague legends, was interviewed by Basket News and said, "When I was 22, my basketball worldview was, 'It's just the NBA.'" Now, at 37, I've had the opportunity to get a full perspective. I would say the NBA is checkers, and Europe is chess."
The latest sentence caused a storm on Twitter when it was reposted by a popular basketball account, called Legion Hoops. One user commented: "The NBA is easy, the Euroleague is hard, everyone says it, Joel Embiid can't score 30 points in the Euroleague." That sentence didn't leave Kevin Durant, one of the biggest stars in the world, who responded in a not-so-subtle way: "You're all crazy."
