The difficulties continue in Ligue 2 for Paris FC. This Saturday, on the occasion of the 7th day, the men of Stéphane Gilli lost to the players of AC Ajaccio (2-1), more inspired offensively and willing, at the end of a match without much relief. This is a new blow for the club, which had found colors after its nice victory in Amiens (3-0) last week and has still not chained two games without defeat since the beginning of the season.

The first half, quite dull, had set the tone of the match. On a pitch in poor condition and in a sparse François-Coty stadium, both teams struggled to develop their game and were content with their defensive solidity. But the tempo was still mostly dictated by Ajaccio, who got the best opportunity: a direct free kick from Thomas Mangani, diverted from the end of the gloves in the corner by Ivan Filipovic (38th).

Both teams, however, were more inspired when they returned from the locker room. So far relatively quiet, the Ajaccéen goalkeeper Mathieu Michel first had to work against his own defender, Cédric Avinel, author of a poorly controlled tackle (51st). Five minutes later, it was the Corsicans who struck first, on a lobbed header from Tim Jabol-Folcarelli (1-0, 56th). But this opening of the score woke up the Ile-de-France: following an overflow from Alimami Gory, Pierre-Louis Hamel, author of his third goal of the season, appeared at the second post to equalize in the wake (1-1, 58th).

The lull lasted only ten minutes, until Yacin Baamou's cannonball: a heavy strike from 20 meters, which left Filipovic helpless and allowed the Corsicans to regain the lead (2-1, 68th). In the last ten minutes, PFC then tried everything to come back but stumbled on an inspired and relieved Ajaccean block once its first victory of the season at home validated. In the standings, the Parisian club is now in a dangerous 16th place with 6 points, overtaken by its tormentor of the evening (12th, 9 points).
