An incredible scenario and a new world champion title for the triathlon France team! By finishing in first place in the Grand Final of the World Triathlon Championship Series, Dorian Coninx won his first World Championship title. He succeeds his compatriot Léo Bergère, crowned in 2022 in Abu Dhabi.
"I thought it was impossible," he admitted afterwards to the microphone of World Triathlon. I just wanted to have a good race. I've had a great season already, and now it went even better than I imagined."

In the top 10 at the end of the 1,500m swim, Coninx led the race from A to Z, alongside his compatriots Pierre Le Corre and Léo Bergère, respectively third and fourth on the race of the day and with whom he was able to collaborate on the bike. "We tried to make the effort on the bike, we wanted to try something as a team, continued the Grenoble. Hayden Wilde and Alex Yee really dominated this season, I had some great races but I didn't expect to come and win today."
"I tried to win but I couldn't. Dorian was incredible today, I'm very happy for him," added Pierre Le Corre. An impressive group shot, like what the French had achieved in Paris in August during the Test Event. Dorian Coninx took third place in the race, ahead of Le Corre and Bergère, 4th and 5th. A result that counts a few months before the Paris Games.
