Heartbroken.An emotionally difficult video documents the awards ceremony at a girls' artistic gymnastics competition in Ireland. All the young gymnasts received a medal around their necks, except for one black girl.
After being skipped unacceptably, the girl was seen at the beginning of another excited but soon her expression changed to great disappointment.

One person who could not bear this truly unusual documentation was the legendary gymnast Simone Biles. The American was quick to comment on the video, writing on Twitter: "When this video was released, it broke my heart to see it. There is no place for racism in any sport, at all."
"We have immediately contacted the family to express our grief and assure them that the incident will be investigated," the Irish Gymnastics Association said in a statement. "The person responsible was identified and admitted that what happened was completely unacceptable, but stressed that it was not intentional. He said that after they realized what had happened, they immediately corrected it and made sure the gymnast got her medal."
