Nadia Fanchini becomes a mother – with a plastered leg

Anyone who is one of Nadia Fanchini's almost 20,000 Instagram followers has long been in the know. In one photo, the 37-year-old presents herself with a broad grin. The reason for this lies in her arm. Their son Giacomo was born on 14 September.

What is also striking about the published photo is Fanchini's plastered left leg and the crutches leaning against the bed, on which she is apparently currently walking. What exactly happened to the Italian is not known. If she doesn't care because of the happiness of having a baby, at least it seems that she doesn't care at first.

Many former ski colleagues congratulate Nadia Fanchini

For Fanchini and husband Devid Salvadori, Giacomo is their third son after Alessandro (3) and Davide (2). Many of her former teammates leave warm messages. Nadia Delago sends a hug, Laura Pirovano, Manuela Moelgg and biathlete Dorothea Wierer also wish only the best.

Fanchini's latest leg injury and the birth of her son are the third emotional event this year. Together with her sister Sabrina (35), Nadia had to come to terms with the death of her sister Elena (†37) in February. The eldest of the three Fanchini sisters lost her battle with cancer.
