Football: the next UEFA congress in Paris, "an honour and a privilege" for President Diallo

The 48th UEFA Congress was to be held in Madrid. It will finally take place in Paris. This was decided by the UEFA Executive Committee on Tuesday in Limassol (Cyprus). The congress in question will take place on February 8, 2024. The presidents and general secretaries of UEFA's 55 member associations will be present in the French capital. A decision that is not foreign to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG (and ECA) has indeed largely pushed in this direction. "Hosting the governing body that brings together the 55 nations of European football is an honor and a privilege for the FFF and for the entire French football family," said the president of the French Football Federation Philippe Diallo in a press release.

And the successor of Noël Le Graët to the "3F" adds: "It is a mark of confidence and recognition towards our body, our sport, its representatives and its actors. This choice once again illustrates our country's ability to showcase its assets, its organizational capacity, attractiveness and influence. This decision reinforces the sporting attractiveness of the France, in 2024, the Olympic year." On the sidelines of the congress, the draw for the group stage of the 2024-25 Nations League will also take place in Paris on the same day.
