FC Bayern's Oktoberfest visit: Kane and Tuchel ready

"I'm proud, it's a special day. My first hat-trick for FC Bayern and in front of our fans – we have to keep going like this," said Harry Kane on Saturday evening after the Munich show in the 7-0 win against VfL Bochum. Kane is particularly looking forward to his first visit to the Oktoberfest as an FC Bayern player: "I want to soak up as much of the festival as possible," announced the Englishman, who experienced a special moment in the game against Bochum.

His coach Thomas Tuchel is looking forward to the Oktoberfest with mixed feelings: "With the latest results, it will of course be a nice visit. Delicious food is always good, and traditional food is welcome," said Tuchel, who is anything but a beer fan. "I'll find something, they'll put something in my mug," joked the 50-year-old. His personal Oktoberfest motto: "The lederhosen are ready, we'll strap them on - and then close our eyes and go through."

After beating Bochum: FC Bayern in a magnificent Oktoberfest atmosphere

In the Kanter victory against Bochum, the beer tent hits "Sweet Caroline" and "Cordula Grün" resounded through the stadium to celebrate the day. Very different from last season. At that time, the Munich team around the then coach and new national coach Julian Nagelsmann as well as the ex-bosses Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic toasted each other in a bad mood after a 0-1 defeat at FC Augsburg in the Käfer Wiesn-Schänke.

Due to the sporting success, Bayern's new sporting director Christoph Freund spoke of a "perfect Oktoberfest weekend". A visit to a beer tent is "important for camaraderie, for the team structure," Freund said. (dpa/LuHa)
