Ski skier Tamara Tippler has given birth to her first baby. The Austrian had terminated last season prematurely due to pregnancy.

Munich – A new ski baby has arrived! Tamara Tippler gave birth to her first child. The Austrian is the proud mother of a daughter. The speed specialist shares her mother's happiness on Instagram.

Just in time for the start of the winter sports season, Tamara Tippler gave birth to her daughter. On 12 March, the 32-year-old announced that she would end the season prematurely and would not compete in the World Cup final in Soldeu. However, the reason was not an injury, but pregnancy. Recently, the ski star showed a proud baby bump photo.

"The current situation also came as a surprise to me and I realize that I no longer have the necessary willingness to take risks, which has always distinguished me to race at the highest level. It was mega difficult or no longer possible to turn off the head completely and risk the last shirt," Tippler wrote on Instagram at the time to a video with an ultrasound image. However, the Rottenmännerin swore her loyalty to skiing.

"The motivation and passion for skiing is still very high and I would like to see what the future holds for skiing. But now, for the time being, another wonderful exciting task awaits me/us, which I look forward to with pleasure," said Tippler, who, according to a report in the Kleine Zeitung, "still has her sights set on the home World Championships in Saalbach 2025". However, it remains to be seen whether the Austrian will be ready to start in time for the coming season – the first downhill is scheduled for 18 November in Zermatt – due to the birth.

Now the focus is on spending time together with the newborn. In her Instagram story, the baby can be seen sleeping in a crib with a teddy bear. The plush toy reveals the girl's name on her dress: Mia. In another photo, the proud dad holds his daughter in his arms.

Tippler also showed several congratulatory messages on social media. The Ski Team Austria, which is currently preparing for the new winter sports season in Chile, also congratulated with a sweet message. Tippler's fellow skiers painted the name Mia in the snow with blue paint.
