FC Bayern ahead of DFB-Pokal against Preußen Münster with bottleneck in defence
Coach Thomas Tuchel was faced with some tricky personnel decisions before the kick-off of the game - especially in the central defence.
Minjae Kim did not travel to Münster with the team, Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano are also out – and Tarek Buchmann is also unavailable due to injury.
Thomas Tuchel (coach FC Bayern Munich) before the game on Sky about ...
... today's game: "That's the appeal of the cup, that's how it should be. Floodlights, stadium is full, the cabins are still the same as they used to be. That's a good thing, that's part of it. You need six wins to lift the trophy. That's what we want to do today."

My Area
... his memories of the DFB-Pokal: "Basically, of course, the victory with Dortmund. Otherwise, it's special games in knockout mode, it's a tension. Today we are high favourites, you are basically playing against yourself. We must not be too tense. We have to clean our things, then it should work."
... his lederhosen: "I don't know if I take them out often. But I like to do it at the Oktoberfest and the championship celebration."
... the absence of the three centre-backs: "Today was very extraordinary. De Ligt got injured in the game, Upamecano signalled this morning that it won't work. We couldn't take responsibility for Minjae Kim, the swelling in her thigh was too great. Thomas suffered a very slight strain the day before yesterday, so we hope that it will be possible until Saturday. It is very unusual for three central defenders to be absent. Goretzka and Mazraoui play inside, the two are basically the only ones who have a new position. We will try to catch this together and protect them. We want to give them security."
... the perhaps too thin squad: "It's not about whether I'm right or not. That is the case today, and we are called upon to find a solution. We have found them for today. But of course we hope that the guys will come back quickly."
... the attack: "Up front, we're spoilt for choice, we're very well positioned. Kane and Sané have played all the games, so it's good for them to catch their breath. The five offenses today have a lot of goal threat. We expect them to show that with pleasure and freshness."
... Daniel Peretz in goal: "I hope he shows what he shows in training. He is a very tidy boy, very good energy, very positive. We trust him. He's good at building play, brave. He's a very active goalkeeper."
Sascha Hildmann (coach Preußen Münster) before the game on Sky about ...
... his composure: "It's such a beautiful moment, I've been here for a long time. I'm looking forward to this game now."
... the situation around the club: "The city is under tension, during the week I didn't notice much with the team. But now you can already feel a certain tension. But we don't want to freeze in awe. We want to counter this with everything we have."
