What does Jerome Boateng do? Ex-Bayern star waiting for new club
Every now and then, photos and videos of Boateng training pop up on social media. The 1.92-meter model athlete keeps fit and apparently wants to know it again. In addition, he keeps his fans updated with his leisure activities.
In the summer, Boateng went on a safari tour with Bayern star Kingsley Coman or danced at a wedding with Bayern scare Didier Drogba. However, Boateng also had to answer in court – he is said to have beaten his girlfriend. The 2014 World Champion would love to make sporting headlines again. For this goal, Boateng has now allegedly picked up the phone.

Boateng call to Real Madrid? Rumours about ex-Bayern star
According to a report, Boateng is said to have brought himself into the conversation at Real Madrid as a replacement for the injured David Alaba. The former Bayern professional called Real president Florentino Pérez and offered his services, the Catalan online newspaper El Nacional reported.
Boateng is currently without a club after his contract with French top-flight club Olympique Lyon expired after two years. Money apparently plays a secondary role. Apparently, Boateng would play for a mini salary in order to be able to show his skills once again at the highest level.

Boateng is apparently talking about Alaba as an Alaba replacement at Real Madrid
The Madrilenians currently have major injury concerns. With Éder Militão, a central defender is absent for a longer period of time after a cruciate ligament rupture. Ex-Bayern star Alaba was substituted in the 2st minute of the 0-41 win against Las Palmas in the last Real game due to problems in the adductor area - the exact diagnosis is still pending.
Boateng knows Real coach Carlo Ancelotti from their time together at FC Bayern – but the Italian did not always rely on him. Boateng had even thought about a move at the time, but the then 29-year-old was back as defensive boss after Jupp Heynckes' return to Bayern. And what does Boateng say about the rumour?
Boateng reacts to Real rumour: Ex-Bayern star doesn't want to know anything about it
The world champion is deliciously amused by the rumors about his person. On Instagram, he replied to a corresponding Sky report that he would probably offer himself as an Alaba replacement at Real, with the following message: "I didn't know that, interesting". To do this, Boateng posted a thoughtful emoji. Or does the trail even lead back to FC Bayern?
FCB coach Thomas Tuchel had courted Boateng after Heynckes' time in Munich as coach of Paris Saint-Germain. "There were talks with Paris, that's no secret," the two-time treble winner said at the time: "The task there was interesting, the talks with Thomas Tuchel were good." Bayern are currently plagued by personnel problems in defence, but a Boateng comeback is virtually impossible. After all, Dayot Upamecano and Minjae Kim, two recently injured defenders, return to the squad for the top match against Leipzig. (ck)
