Corrected, summary of sporting events, 19.11/Sport1
Sports fans in Israel have always been obsessed with the reactions of athletes around the world to the war against Israel, and have loved to follow and examine who is for us and who is against us, who supports Israel publicly and who takes the side of the Palestinians - but it seems that since October 7 the obsession has only increased, and every athlete who comes out against Israel is "burnt" as far as we are concerned, and his statements are inexcusable.
Recently, a user named Nitzan (_nitzan) compiled on her X account (formerly Twitter) a list of senior footballers from around the world who supported the Palestinians or spoke out against the State of Israel, and received a karmic "punishment." According to the list (quite selective, it should be said) footballers such as Ashraf Hakimi, Paul Pogba, Wesley Fofana, Sadio Mane, Megan Rapinoe and Karim Benzema – all of them at one point or another took anti-Israel positions, and immediately afterwards experienced difficult moments in their careers.
Both have since been unimpressive. Diallo and Pogba/Reuters

Among the names she mentioned was Paul Pogba, who "celebrated with a Palestinian flag at the Guardian of the Walls and was injured immediately after." Or Ashraf Hakimi, who "supported Palestine even with the Guardian of the Walls and six months later was accused of rape." Also mentioned was Wesley Fofana - who "celebrated with the Palestinian flag at the Guardian of the Walls and two months later tore his crucifixion." Megan Rapinoe "called for an end to the genocide, while she has a Jewish partner, and was injured in the 6th minute of the last game of her career." Users and followers added more names to the list, which these days can be a symbolic consolation, even if it seems to be just a coincidence.
