Recap: Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa 2:1/Sport1
Assessments after Manor Solomon's surgery in early October following a meniscus tear in his right knee spoke of an absence of about three months, but in recent days it has become known that there is a chance that Tottenham's Israeli will return to action sooner than expected.
Although Tottenham initially speculated that the winger would not return before mid-January, and possibly towards the end, in talks with those close to Solomon in recent days, and judging by the voices heard at the club, the medical staff and the player himself, everyone is pleased with his pace of rehabilitation. Manor is due to see the doctor who operated on him in the coming days, with Tottenham cautiously optimistic that he will be back on the pitch by the end of December.
If he does recover faster than planned, it will be encouraging news not only for the London team, but also for the Israeli national team, as the sooner he returns to play, the better fit Solomon will be able to get into shape for the team's next assignment: the Euro play-off semi-final against Iceland in March.

Solomon, 24, made six appearances and scored two goals for Tottenham before being injured. Without him, his Premier League side suffered their third consecutive defeat on Sunday and slipped to fifth place.
