FC Bayern have extended their contracts with Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich. Daniel Peretz and Alex Nübel are also still under contract at Säbener Straße. What's next for you?

Munich – The Manuel Neuer era at FC Bayern is not over yet. The five-time World Goalkeeper of the Year will be in goal for the German record champions until at least 2025. Neuer extended his expiring contract, as did deputy and friend Sven Ulreich.

What will happen to Peretz and Nübel at FC Bayern?

One thing is certain: The Munich team will not make any changes to the first two goalkeeper positions next season - as long as both veterans remain fit, of course. But what will happen to the keepers behind the duo Neuer/Ulreich?

With new signing Daniel Peretz and long-term loanee Alexander Nübel, FC Bayern have two more goalkeepers with great potential. And both – despite the extension of Neuer and Ulreich – are said to play a role in the plans of the Bayern bosses. At least that's what a report from Sport1 suggests.

Bayern bosses appreciate Peretz and Nübel

According to the report, those responsible at Säbener Strasse value both Peretz and Nübel and are seen as options for Neuer's successor. But what about the two keepers until then?

Peretz, who only moved to FC Bayern in the summer and brought his girlfriend with him, is to be loaned out in the summer and gain match practice. This had already been reported by Sky in recent weeks. However, there will be no loan in the winter.

Peretz to be loaned out next summer

The simple reason: The Israeli has already played competitive games for two clubs this season, is likely to move in the winter, but according to FIFA regulations, will not be used for his new club. A loan in the winter therefore makes no sense. In addition, Peretz made a conscious decision to move to FC Bayern in the summer in order to use his first year to learn.

In the summer, the 23-year-old wants to take the step that Nübel already took in 2021. After an unsatisfactory first season, the former Schalke keeper had moved to AS Monaco on loan that summer. After two convincing years in the Principality, Nübel joined VfB Stuttgart in the summer – also on loan.

FC Bayern is probably leaning towards extension with Nübel

In Swabia, the 27-year-old convinces all along the line. In particular, Bayern goalkeeping coach Michael Rechner is said to be very satisfied with the development and is also in regular contact with Nübel. However, since the Paderborn-born player's contract expires in 2025, there are two options for FC Bayern in the summer.

Either Nübel leaves the record champions for good in the summer or the contract with the keeper is extended and Nübel is loaned out again. A loan with a remaining contract period of one year is not possible. And at the moment, according to Sport1, those responsible at Säbener Straße seem to be leaning towards the second option - an extension with Nübel including a subsequent loan!

However, according to BW27 information, VfB Stuttgart would also like to sign the 24-year-old - and preferably immediately. Nübel is said to feel quite comfortable with the surprise team of the season so far and is currently waiving large parts of his salary. Will he be willing to do so next season or will he sign a new contract in Munich? (kk
