Exactly two months ago, 12-year-old Eitan Yahalomi from Kibbutz Nir Oz was abducted to the Gaza Strip along with his father as part of a surprise murderous attack by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Ethan is a Manchester City fan and in his room, which was significantly damaged, was a painting of his favourite player, Phil Foden, which remained intact.
Today (Thursday), the first candle of Hanukkah, the Manchester City Supporters Association in Israel arrived at the home of Eitan, who was released a week and a half ago from Hamas captivity, in order to present him with a shirt signed by Foden, a box of City trophies and a personal invitation from the club's CEO, Ferran Soriano, to the Manchester City game at the Etihad Stadium, when things calm down in Israel.
