Last Saturday we got an unpleasant incident at all in the Turkish Basketball League, when during the derby between Besiktas and Fenerbahce, fans of the local team threw objects on the floor and a sharp coin hit Yam Madar in the face and injured him above the eye. The game was stopped for a few minutes by the refereeing team, the Israeli guard had to go down to the locker room for treatment and only after they bandaged his place did he return to play and did not help his team avoid losing.
On Thursday evening, the penalty imposed by the Turkish association on host Besiktas was published. The blacks and whites will host one game without a crowd and will also have to pay a fine of 325,000 Turkish lira, about 40,000 shekels.

Madar Baffner's coach Dimitris Itoudis lashed out at the Turkish FA after the game, saying: "Yam could have lost his eye today, whoever threw the coin is a terrorist. Can Besiktas do that in the Eurocup? Not. This is tolerance that appears only in the Turkish league. This is unacceptable. We can prevent it, we can't say what we can do. There is terrorism here. I respect Besiktas, they are a great team, but will they be able to do it in the Eurocup in their next game? Fenerbahce, Galatasaray and Besiktas have excellent fans, but terrorism must be avoided."
