On Thursday, PSG made official the arrival of an American shareholder, Arctos Partners, in its capital. This resounding announcement marks a major turning point in the organisation of a club previously owned by a single shareholder, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar.

But since the subject of this capital opening has been in the pipeline for more than a year, it is actually the figures related to this operation that constitute the biggest coup of the week. What was, for the moment, only an estimate by Brand Finance and Forbes magazine has, in recent days, become reality. By acquiring a 12.5% stake in PSG for more than €530 million, the new minority shareholder has enabled the capital club to reach a historic valuation level of €4.25 billion.
