Like everyone else, Nataliya Dobrynska, the 2008 Olympic heptathlon champion, was informed late on Friday 8 December of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) decision to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete at the next Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Even if she was not at all surprised by this choice, the Ukrainian still took the blow: elected to the International Athletics Federation, she deplored the lack of courage of the IOC.
