Maccabi Haifa midfielder Anan Halaili, has signed a new contract with the club until 2027. The new contract will have a release clause, but this time it will be €4.5 million. In the previous contract, Halailly had a release clause of only €<> million, which Young Boys and Red Bull Salzburg were willing to fulfill. Teams in the Italian league also wanted to implement the clause, but the player chose to continue at the club where he grew up and where he also received significant playing minutes this season.
"It's the fulfillment of a childhood dream," Halailly told the club's website after the signing, adding: "As someone who lives in the Kiryat Eliezer neighborhood, a few minutes' walk from the stadium, I have been a diehard fan of the team all my life and for me this is home. I signed today with the biggest club in the country, I dream of taking a championship and raising a plate in front of our crazy crowd that we miss so much these days. Come on Maccabi, green is rising."
The club's professional director, Gal Alberman, said: "We are pleased to announce the extension of Anan Halaili's agreement. Annan, who grew up green, is proving maturity and is on an outstanding progress graph. We are convinced that many more moments of personal and group glory await Anan in the group. We wish Anan to continue his progress and enjoy moments of happiness and success together with the group. Good luck Annan!"

Club CEO Itzik Ovadia: "I am full of pride to see Anan Halaili's progress over the past 3.5 years, from a youth player in Maccabi Haifa to the senior team. Anan is a good example of a player who grew and developed in our youth department and became an adult player and a member of the Israeli national team. The signing of a long-term agreement is a very clear statement of the trust in Anan and the club's intention to retain and promote the talented players."
