The Parisians lost (28-5) on Sunday at the English league leaders, Sale, for their return to the Heineken Champions Cup.

The Parisians, with a largely reshuffled team compared to the one that had dominated Toulouse (27-12) last weekend, scored the first try of the match against the run of play, through their South African centre Jeremy Ward, captain for the first time.

But the Sharks of England internationals George Ford, Ben Curry and Manu Tuilagi made the difference in the second half, scoring three tries.

Stade Français will host another English club, Leicester, next Sunday at the Stade Jean-Bouin, for the 2nd matchday of the Heineken Champions Cup.
