Alexandre Lacazette sees hat-trick

Alexandre Lacazette's awakening. Man of the match. The Olympique Lyonnais striker, who has been sorely lacking in confidence since the start of the season, scored all three goals (25', 29', 80') in Lyon's victory on Sunday. Opportunistic in the opponent's box, the French striker took advantage of a completely apathetic Toulouse defence with absent season ticket holders to find the back of the net. The leader of this team. It was a performance that was good for the Rhone and OL, who were back in form thanks to their "general".

OL's defence held firm

For once, Olympique Lyonnais did not concede a goal this afternoon. The OL rearguard was solid and aggressive, just like Jack O'Brien. Even if Toulouse's attack was more than clumsy in finishing their actions, the OL defenders were able to contain the danger well.

Lyon's state of mind

It was a real renaissance for Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday. Pierre Sage's men took the match by the right end and put the intensity they needed to thwart this Toulouse team. The Rhone side seemed to be less scared than in recent matches. A benchmark match this season for the bottom side of Ligue 1.

Thijs Dallinga missed out

In addition to having struggled in his team's play and being transparent at the forefront of Toulouse's attack (only one shot on target in 90 minutes), the Dutchman missed the penalty that could have revived TFC just before half-time (45'). Dallinga showed a cruel lack of confidence against Anthony Lopes who had no trouble stopping the Violet striker's lacklustre shot. Second missed penalty in a row for the Toulouse striker. We're going to have to think about changing shooters...

Toulouse's lack of aggressiveness

Carles Martinez's men displayed a state of mind unworthy of a team that is playing for its survival in Ligue 1, on top of that against a direct competitor for relegation... Toulouse, apathetic and trailing throughout the match, were never able to wrap up the match and even allowed themselves some "easy" and slightly nonchalant phases of play. Not the best way to stay in Ligue 1.
