The second preparation for the Grand Prix d'Amérique, the Prix du Bourbonnais (Gr. II) – Amérique Races Pmu Q2, kept all its promises on Sunday on the track of Paris-Vincennes. Noticed by an excellent finish in the Prix de Bretagne on November 19th, San Moteur (n°12), placed as the bettors' favourite on Sunday, proved to be the strongest. Coming in the lead on the descent, but quickly relayed by Izoard Védaquais (n°7), the Björn Goop-trained colt attacked his rival at the exit of the final bend, and then showed a lot of courage, to the great satisfaction of his rider, who won this event for the second time, 3 years after Face Time Bourbon: "He's a champion! He was very strong today, because the attacks came halfway down the straight, but he is a wrestler and doesn't like to lose. He made a long journey (6000 km) to get to France, and now he will be able to calm down, staying put. He has qualified for the Prix d'Amérique (Gr. I), which is pure happiness. »
