Anyone who deprives ski star Linus Straßer of his sleep at a World Cup can have problems.
This is proven by a funny anecdote that the German winter athlete now revealed.
Munich – The German ski ace Linus Straßer, who recently achieved a historic double coup in Schladming and Kitzbühel, apparently has completely different qualities.
The 31-year-old revealed this not entirely voluntarily on the Bavarian Radio program “Blickpunkt Sport”.
Buddy Holzmann forces Straßer to disclose
At the end of the interview with Linus Straßer in the sports program, a greeting from his teammate Sebastian Holzmann was recorded, which made Straßer sweat quite a bit.
“Perhaps you would like to explain to the people out there how it came about that you threw a former physiotherapist into a hotel pool with the help of our trainer Bernd Brunner.”
Holzmann followed this with a smug “have fun”.
With a smile on his lips, Straßer then began to talk: “In Cortina, our downhill skiers were very successful at the World Championships two or three years ago.
Of course they already celebrated, but our competitions were still to come.
Our physio still got carried away by simply joining in the celebrations.” That wasn’t to be entirely without consequences.

Straßer and Brunner throw physiotherapists into the water
During the night, Straßer was woken up by his friend Sebi because the hotel's fire alarm had gone off.
It turned out that the team's physio at the time had "drunk a few to his thirst" and set off the fire alarm, which robbed the ski stars of their sleep and gave them a real scare.
As punishment, the next morning the perpetrator was thrown into the hotel pool by Straßer and Coach Brunner in “sweatpants and a down jacket”.
Straßer said: “He deserved it and now it’s a very nice story.” But there is currently less to laugh about in the Ski World Cup.
Due to numerous falls, skier Jasmine Flury burst into tears on camera.
