It is confirmed that Max Eberl will become FC Bayern's new sports director.
He was already spotted in the stands during the win against Augsburg.
Augsburg - His appointment is apparently only a formality, it will be made official at the supervisory board meeting at the end of February: Max Eberl will be the new sports director at FC Bayern.
The personality has been discussed on Säbener Straße for many months, but after leaving RB Leipzig at the end of September he now seems to be finally following the call of his youth club.

It can be assumed that Eberl will join FC Bayern in the second half of the season, but last weekend he was spotted in the stands with his girlfriend.
There he followed Munich's victory against FC Augsburg - apparently completely privately.
Because as Christoph Freund, sports director of the record champions, made clear, that was surprising.
“I didn’t know that, but I wasn’t in the stands either,” he said after the game.
Freund had already come to Säbener Straße in the summer and took over the position of sports director after the dismissals of Hasan Salihamidzic and Oliver Kahn. Jan-Christian Dreesen was appointed as Kahn's successor.
But it was already clear back then: a new sports director was to come; Eberl was considered the favorite for the position from the start.
Since the 50-year-old had only just started at Leipzig at the time, a change was initially difficult.

Now his official commitment is imminent; according to
Sky
, he will be given a long-term contract.
Since Eberl is tied to RB Leipzig until 2026, a transfer fee of around five million euros will probably be due.
However, the move to FC Bayern will not fail because of this, even if, according to
tz
information, no FCB official has yet contacted RB about Eberl.
