"Money buys success", says the famous sentence, and it seems that in the case of Real Madrid it is especially true.
On the pitch, the Blancos are really on a different level from the other Euroleague teams, but also financially, they are high up, far above the rest of the Euroleague rivals.
According to publications in Spain, the total budget of the Madrid team is about 44 million euros, with no less than 75 percent of it being the budget for players and professional staff.
These crazy amounts are after a gradual cut that was made in recent years with the aim of reaching 20 percent less than the players' salary that was at the end of the previous decade.
Real sets the highest budget in Europe, despite ongoing huge financial losses.
In fact, the Blancos have lost more than 100 million euros in the last five years.
According to sources in the Spanish capital, at the end of the previous decade the budget hovered around 50 million euros.
What helps Real to continue to maintain economic dominance, and consequently also professionally, is the reliance on the soccer team, which generates hundreds of millions of euros a year, as well as assistance from the local banks, which, according to publications in Spain, help the major teams in the various sports by spreading the financial debts and sometimes even writing off some of them.
And how many players earn?
Although the European champions have the highest budget in the Euroleague, they only have one player who is in the list of the ten highest earners in Europe.
This is center Eddie Tavares who earns 3 million euros per season.

Facundo Campasu, who returned in the summer after a few years in the NBA and Red Star, earns according to publications a little less than 2 million euros, as well as the Croatian Mario Zonia.
Rudy Fernandez, Sergio Rodrigues, Gabriel Dak and Gershon Yabosla earn over a million euros.
For comparison, only two players in Maccabi Tel Aviv earn over a million euros (Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin).
