Peiting
- The Peitinger Korbinian Heiland has – not entirely unexpectedly – been nominated for the U23 World Championships in cross-country skiing.
The German Ski Association (DSV) announced the line-up yesterday, Monday.
The title fights will take place from February 5th to 11th in Planica.
A total of 18 young women and men are competing in the junior and U23 divisions.

Korbinian Heiland
(22) starts for SC Partenkirchen and made his debut in the World Cup in Goms, Switzerland last weekend.
The Peitinger, who prefers the classic style, took 63rd place out of 76 finishers in the mass start race over 20 kilometers in the free technique.
Heiland crossed the finish line after 43:13.3 minutes.
The gap to the winner, the Norwegian top star Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, was 3:48 minutes.
The best German was
Friedrich Moch
(39:39) in fifth place.
By the way: Everything from the region is also available in our regular Schongau newsletter. And in our Weilheim-Penzberg newsletter.
Heiland recently won the classic 20-kilometer Continental Cup in the Czech Republic.
The day before he had finished the 10 kilometers in free technique in fifth place.
Heiland has already competed
at
the Junior World Championships several times.
