Three games have passed since the Washington Wizards parted ways with coach Wes Anseld Jr., and it seems that a certain trend can already be witnessed under interim coach Brian Keefe, who may take the job permanently, at least until the end of the season.
Either way, the team's style of play is changing, and Dani Avdia is suffering from it.
Despite Washington's second straight victory, a rare event, the Israeli forward feels a lot of frustration under Keefe, who pushes him a little to the side.
Avdia's minutes average dropped by a full two minutes, as did his usage while on the floor.
Avdia throws less and doesn't get along with the team's slow game.
Avdia, who is used to a running game and open areas, proved his abilities in several moves, including one powerful dunk, but right now Keefe prefers to give more credit to rookie Bilal Koulibaly.
Although commentators are surprised and are sure that "both should play together", and gave examples of how Avdia and Coulibaly feed each other, Keef insists otherwise.

However, Avdia, who broke his tooth during the game, can maintain optimism, after Keef made it clear that Washington will be based on defensive play from now on, and as you know, Avdia is considered the Wizards' best defensive player.
Maybe Keef is still looking for a way to rearrange the cards and finally give Abdia credit.
In the meantime, the Israeli needs patience, after sitting out the last ten minutes of tonight's game against San Antonio, and also an appointment with the dentist, after the elbow he snapped.
He has already made sure to display the results of the attack on social networks, watch.
