Heinz Schmidt confirms the plans for a planned withdrawal as soon as TSV 1860 has found a suitable successor within its own ranks.

Munich - Die Löwen in January 2024 – a club between a relegation battle and what feels like a wrecking ball.

Sports director Christian Werner has until Thursday, 6 p.m., to find an affordable striker on the transfer market.

At the same time, something could happen on the exit side.

Similar problems are troubling President Robert Reisinger - changes are also pending in his “team”.

One deputy should go but wants to stay, the other should actually stay but wants to go.

There are rumblings everywhere - and Yahya Ismaik has come forward and poured a lot of fuel into the already explosive shareholder fire.

“I realize that this is fueling the rumor mill, but there is no rift or anything.”

Heinz Schmidt on his planned resignation as Vice President.

Sequentially.

After Hans Sitzberger (70) fell out of favor with the board of directors, it has now become known that Heinz Schmidt (63) is also about to leave, in his case it would be a voluntary retirement.

The tax advisor from Wasserburg told tz

:

“I thought about it very carefully.

I realize this is fueling the rumor mill, but there's no rift or anything.

The reason is purely professional.

The fire in my office left an incredible amount of work unfinished.

At some point I have to take a step back - with a heavy heart now at 1860. I would stay with the club in a less time-consuming role, but my wish is that I will quit as soon as a successor has been found.

For Schmidt and also for the committees in the background, it is important that the future treasurer has a similar political mindset, i.e. there are no plans to get closer to the unpopular co-partners around Hasan Ismaik.

The eV people are serious, they are already looking for a date for the extraordinary general meeting at which a decision will be made about Sitzberger's deselection - and possibly also about a Schmidt successor.

An extraordinary meeting to vote out Sitzberger is scheduled to take place on a working day at the beginning of March

According to information from Münchner Merkur and tz, a working day (!) at the beginning of March is preferred.

Apparently not to put obstacles in the way of Sitzberger supporters who have to travel a long way, but because the tried and tested meeting hall (Zenith) is fully booked on weekends for months.

While the newly founded “Alliance for 1860” is encouraging an external investigation into the information leak, Ismaik's brother spoke out - with harsh accusations.

In an interview published on

t-online,

Yahya Ismaik accuses the club representatives of “autocratic behavior” and reiterates his brother’s determination never to let himself be pushed out of 1860, even in the event of relegation: “Giving up is a word that doesn’t exist in his lexicon There is.” Anyone who speculates on this “is making a huge mistake.”

Niklas Tarnat before the jump at TSV 1860?

Rumors about the transfer of Hannover's Max Besuschkow

It could more likely happen that the HAM side unilaterally terminates the cooperation agreement: “If this business basis is permanently withdrawn by the eV, we will have to think about legal consequences.” The whole thing is spiced up with a new broadside against Reisinger as the suspected root of all evil.

Yahya Ismaik: “In my opinion, the president is exercising undue and almost malicious influence.

He also seems to be hungry for attention and has an almost unbridled ego.” This type of influence, if “exercised uncontrollably,” is “extremely dangerous.”

It is possible that Niklas Tarnat will leave the Lions again -

brought  up former U19 national player Max Besuschkow (26, Hannover 96) as a replacement.

According to information from our newspaper, a winter move to the 3rd league is out of the question for the professional from the 2nd Bundesliga.
