A complaint was filed by two women, claiming to have been abused with alcohol by the Reims player during an evening after a friendly match between Japan and Peru last June (4-1 victory for the Japanese) .

The two young women, aged 20, claim to have met Junya Ito during an evening in a restaurant in Osaka.

After hearing the Reims attacker hold a conversation on the telephone where he indicated to his interlocutor that he wanted to "have a drink with the girls at the hotel", they were allegedly led by Ito to his room where they continued to talk. to drink.

Once drunk, the two young women were allegedly victims of non-consensual sexual relations.

“When I woke up, Ito was on top of me.

I remember the scene clearly,” one of the complainants told the Daily Shincho media.

In contact with the player's lawyer, the two women reportedly demanded an apology from Ito.

To which he replied that the two complainants consented at the time of the facts, before proposing a financial arrangement and a confidentiality clause to avoid any prosecution.

A proposal duly refused by the supposed victims, who ended up filing a complaint on January 18 at the Tenma police station.

The Osaka prefectural police are already in charge of the case.

“I resigned because I could not agree on defense policy with Mr. Ito,” the player's former lawyer told the Japanese press shortly after the complaint was filed.

The former Genk player did not wish to speak publicly for the moment.
