BFM TV revealed this Wednesday that Romain Molina was referred to the criminal court (ORTC) by the investigating judge of the Paris judicial court.
The independent journalist and author of several works on the dark side of the world of football will be heard on his remarks against the ex-Paris SG player who was the victim of an attack with an iron bar in November 2021.
At the time, Romain Molina questioned the motivations and perpetrators of this attack, saying that there were
“so many people who want to take revenge on her for matters of private life that we no longer know really where to look
.
These comments had pushed the player's lawyer, Me Saïd Harir, to file a complaint for
“public defamation and insult to an individual”
but also
“defamation”
.
The influencer Marc Blata was also targeted by this complaint but the latter benefited from a dismissal of the case.
Romain Molina was indicted by mail, specifies BFM TV.
In March 2023, Romain Molina told L'Equipe that he had no “
personal grudge
” against Kheira Hamraoui.
“I don't even see why people are talking about me, I have nothing to do with this attack, and I don't serve anyone's interests.
Even less so when it comes to an attack on a woman with an iron bar.
I think that all the cases that I have been able to handle around the world clearly show my commitment, and I will never transgress these principles,” added the independent journalist.
