Almost two weeks ago, Aleksander Kilde had a serious fall in Wengen.
His mother keeps his fans updated with an emotional post.
Wengen – It is well known that skiing is one of the most dangerous sports in the world.
Downhill ace Aleksander Aamodt Kilde also had this experience.
On the descent from Wengen he fell badly and had to be flown to the clinic by helicopter.
Now his mother provides an update on the 31-year-old.

Kristin Aamodt Kilde, Aleksander's mother, posted a picture on Instagram showing her son in a wheelchair being pushed by his father.
“As a mother and father, watching Aleksander crash into the net in Wengen was heartbreaking,” she wrote in the post and added a series of pictures of the evacuation and hospital stay.
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde has to spend the next seven weeks in a wheelchair.

“Despite mentally preparing for such moments, reality hits us hard,” she also admits, explaining that his optimism and smile heal the shock.
Kilde himself gave an update on his injuries from the hospital.

The accident ends lightly - mother thanks the Shiffrin family
Shortly after the accident, Kilde received the all-clear.
The 31-year-old suffered a cut in his calf and dislocated his shoulder in the fall shortly before the finish, as the Norwegian association announced.
Shortly after the accident, the top athlete had to undergo an operation in the Bern hospital.
Afterwards, the mother would like to thank Mikaele Shiffrin, Kilde's friend, and her family.
“A very special thank you goes to Mikaela, Eileen, Taylor and Kristi Shiffrin, who all quickly turned around and got on a plane to Bern that same afternoon,” the caring mother wrote on Instagram.

After being released from the hospital, Kilde will now only have to spend seven weeks in a wheelchair.
Before his injury, he was among the world's best and was able to win, among other things, the overall World Cup in the 2019/20 season.
Shiffrin also fell shortly after her friend and had to be transported to a hospital by helicopter.
