The Ski World Cup is currently overshadowed by numerous falls and accidents.

Skier Jasmine Flury was very affected in a TV interview.

Cortina d'Ampezzo – Like every year, this year's Ski World Cup offers many sporting highlights.

Currently, however, the focus is on the numerous accidents.

At the weekend the race took place in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.

There the series of accidents reached its sad climax.

First the American Mikaela Shiffrin fell.

A few days later it hit Valerie Grenier.

The Swiss skier Jasmine Flury was particularly affected.

Flury cries in the interview because of the many accidents

In addition to Shiffrin and Grenier's serious falls, Flury's compatriots Corinna Sutter and Joana Hählen both tore their cruciate ligaments in great pain.

The ski weekend in Italy turned into a disaster.

After Flury's successful departure, the 30-year-old was available for an interview with the Swiss broadcaster SRF.

Then a few moments before the question and answer session, Norwegian Kajsa Vickhoff Lie fell.

So Flury then confessed that she was “very empty right now.” Then Jasmine Flury burst out.

“Now Kajsa also fell, it was just a bit much,” the ski ace reported tearfully about the psychological stress.

The Ski World Cup continues despite the falls

During her descent in the Super-G, Flury ignored the external circumstances.

“I was able to cope well with the many injuries at the start, but now it’s all coming back again.”

In the end, Flury came 13th. Her teammate Lara Gut-Behrami won the competition.

Since World Cup leader Shiffrin was out due to injury, the Swiss was able to catch up significantly in the overall standings and is now only around 200 points behind the American.

But Gut-Behrami, Flury and Co. don't have much time to breathe.

The next competition in the World Cup at Kronplatz continues on Tuesday (January 30th).
