Thomas Tuchel has been FC Bayern coach for ten months now.
However, it is difficult to evaluate his work.
This is also due to a strange phenomenon.

After ten months in office, FC Bayern fans haven't really gotten any wiser: Is Tuchel the right coach?
It is still too early to make a judgment in the current season.
However, it is high time for the Bayern coach to correct a problem that has long become a pattern during his time in office: the recurring total failures of his team.
Suddenly underground: FC Bayern's performance failures under Tuchel
The 0:3 against RB Leipzig, the cup exit in Saarbrücken, the 5:1 defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt and most recently the extremely staid 0:1 at home against Werder Bremen - Tuchel's team failed as a collective.
And all of this without any noticeable advance notice.
On the contrary: coaches and players never tire of emphasizing the high level of training in advance.
The team trains well, but cannot transfer quality and atmosphere onto the field.
A phenomenon that even makes Thomas Müller, who has already experienced a lot in his career, suspicious.
“Actually, I only know it the other way around: We don’t like to train, but we’re keen to play,” he replied perplexed after the Bremen defeat, before a Malle song finished him off.

Top in training, flop in the game: Tuchel phenomenon is worrying FC Bayern
The discrepancy between training and games surprised Tuchel in the Super Cup defeat against Leipzig.
At the time, he literally showed off his helplessness, which didn't go down particularly well with the Bayern bosses.
In the meantime he has become more diplomatic in this regard and is even taking a cuddly course.
But he still doesn't give the impression that he has the brilliant idea.
“I'm tired of saying that we're training well.
Nobody believes that anymore,” Tuchel sighed after the Bremen game.
“I've been doing the job long enough to be able to assess whether the training was at the level we want it to be.
This has really been the case for many weeks.”

But anyone who gives Tuchel a bad report now is probably doing him an injustice.
Nagelsmann's successor has had to contend with a number of adversities during his term in office so far.
When he took over in March 2023 in the most crucial phase of the season, he had virtually no chance to share his ideas with the team.

Bayern coach Tuchel is lagging behind in points average
FC Bayern is not having a bad Bundesliga season under Tuchel.
Nevertheless, the points average shows that not everything is going optimally: in his 40 games he scored an average of 2.15 points.
This means he is only in eighth place in the ranking of FCB coaches since 2011.
For comparison: Julian Nagelsmann has 2.31 points, Niko Kovac has 2.26 points
The decisive factor for Tuchel's success in Munich will be whether the coach manages to improve the transfer of performance from the training ground to the playing field.
Because the title “training world champion” does not exist in FC Bayern’s dictionary.
