The court of the German Football Association accused Leverkusen fans of displaying a huge inappropriate sign, the content of which they defined as "encouraging offensive discrimination".
The sign was already raised in November in a match against Werder Bremen and it read: "There are all kinds of music, but there are only two genders."
The group sided with the association's opinion that people should not be discriminated against based on their sexual orientation and humbly accepted the punishment - a fine of 18 thousand euros.
It should be noted that this is a light punishment, because in the past, for similar cases, groups were fined amounts ranging from 52 thousand euros to 100 thousand euros.
